WOW! like seriously insane. I loved everything about this movie. The plot is just so exciting and I found the ending made me feel so sad and empty for him. Like this whole journey he went on ended up with exactly what he wanted but he was so alone and isolated. The thing he so desperately struggled to hold again, had morphed into something entirely different and he didn’t even realize. The best part of this film is the technically aspects. The lighting, camera movements and editing (particularly the dissolves and masks) were just exceptional and really enhanced the story. I can’t get over this one scene where you are watching two views at once and then the camera refocuses into an entirely new shot. Just so fun and really showed the amazing things you can do with film. This is so so so funny but also so tense and dark and sad. It handles all these emotions and more with such care. Nothing feels out of place. I feel like there’s a massive symbolism in the manufacturing of paper that reflects the film but I don’t really know all that much about making paper, so I will be watching a youtube video about it when I get home. This is my favorite film of 2025. Hands down.

i love how he’s just talking to himself for half of this.
