not generally a fan of DC but James Gunn did an amazing job. Also loved how Supermans character was historically accurate to his historical character as a hero of the people and not godlike (sorry man of steel 😛). It did what superhero movies are meant to do so well - serve as a symbol of hope and humanity BUT I didn’t like the female representation like Lois who presents herself as the ‘tomboy’ archetype who gets along with the men ‘better’ lowk hating on that one blonde girl bc she was presenting herself as more stereotypically feminine?? GUYS guys it’s 2025 why are we still doing this 😭😭 but regardless (and im not pushing the feminist shit aside) it was still one of the best superhero movies that have come out in a while (recession indicator 😭) and I think it’s representation of masculinity is gonna end up doing a lot to reverse whatever the fuck has gone wrong (we all know what went wrong) in past years

Do I have to elaborate

4.5 and not 5 because every time I see hailee steinfeld I remember what she did in the riff off also Irish jigging in the movie theatre in a maxi skirt was a cathartic experience. Soundtrack was beautiful, cinematography was beautiful and so were the characters (sexy asf). Idk how tf smoke didn’t go out to stack bc I know for my brothers I would’ve and we aren’t even twins like- anyway another movie depicting how hot Michael b Jordan is (not objectifying just appreciating 😛)

no words other than everyone needs to watch this
