Brokeback Mountain
A beautifully written story about two men falling in love with each other while working on a mountain. One can accept the fact he likes guys (Jack) the other can’t (Ennis)…so he decides its best to meet up once a year after the job is done at the same mountain to get his back blown out again…only once a year. His wife finds out cause they can’t hold back from kissing in front of Ennis’s apartment and she leaves him. Jack says frick it let’s live together I can’t wait a whole year to see you and Ennis says no like an idiot cause he’s not gay only on the week that he goes up to Brokeback mountain. Fast forward Jack is murdered (homophobic hate crime) and Ennis will forever live with the guilt of this. Although Ennis never openly admits he’s gay throughout the movie it’s implied that when sniffing Jacks shirt it’s him accepting who he really is. So it took Jack dying for Ennis to accept who he is. In all seriousness 10/10 accepting oneself is never easy.
