Lost inside a conspiracy, searching for answers, trying to fix the past mistakes that haunt you, and being trapped dead center in political corruption. The atmosphere of paranoia is suffocating in the best way. Every frame feels very deliberate. The use of color is stunning, and the technical elements like the sound design, the split screens, the camera movement, and the shot selection are just perfect. I’m not sure there’s another film that looks better than this. On a technical level, it feels untouchable and so unique. I’m definitely going to be diving into more of Brian De Palma’s filmography soon, because this and Carlito's Way are completely my style and taste.
