John Wick: Chapter 4

Could quite possibly be the best action film ever made. A part of me really hopes they stop with johns story with this one, because I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this film. From the first moments it’s clear that the stakes have never been higher and I was actually wondering whether wick would survival almost every encounter in the film. Seeing Lance Reddick in what might be his last on screen role hits even harder after watching this and although I’m sure it was unintentional, the conversation Winston and John have after his death almost feels like they’re talking about Reddick himself. A letterboxd review can’t contain all the thoughts I have on this film, it was certainly the best time I’ve had at a movie theater in a long, especially because the auditorium was packed 2weeks after release.
