Frankenstein
An instant del Toro classic. Every frame, set piece, costume, and character epitomizes del Toro’s style and artistry. I never imagined how well his style could mesh with the story of Frankenstein. The film also perfectly juggles between faithfulness to the original book and creative liberties that weave his own personal narrative into the already well-established story. Spectacular watch, but def dicked by Netflix for giving it such a limited theater release. TVs ain’t gonna do it justice
