A Clockwork Orange
**"I was cured all right."
My fourth Kubrick was nothing short of outstanding, the first 50 minutes set the tone gloriously as to what this masterpiece entailed, Alex is now on the pedestal of the greatest villains of all time. Kubrick had to pull this film from the cinema because people resonated with Alex to much and I can absolutely understand because the aura that man carried through the most heinous acts of all time is the greatest mystery with this film. I’ve never seen a more aurafull scene than when he kicks them into the river and pulls his knife. Wow, just wow. The entire sequence of him returning after treatment and going to the old man’s house whom he’d already beat is one of the most tense scenes I’ve ever witnessed. An unbelievable start - easily a 10/10 and an amazing ending roughly around a 9.7/10, the only bit that was sad to me was Alex not exacting the most awful revenge towards his old gang.**
9.9/10
