Sinners
i’m not sure if it was the blues,
the cinema high or just the presence of not 1 but 2 michael b jordans but this movie is absolutely amazing
on a real note though, this film is truly cinematically beautiful. The story itself was absolutely mind-blowing, not to mention the music, which clearly involved a tremendous amount of hard work, especially with the shots captured while it played.
While it wasn't really a horror film, leaning more towards action and drama, I understand its psychological and suspenseful nature. I did, however, enjoy the occasional jump scares that occurred.
That being said, I'm seriously tempted to make this movie a part of my top four. There are so many films these days that make me feel as if cinema isn't being appreciated as it should be, but this movie completely changed my mind. I felt so entranced by every scene and every moment, as if I were experiencing it all myself.
Fiction can often be overlooked or avoided due to the fear of it flopping. However, the casting in this movie was so perfect that I'd gladly watch it all over again.
