Caught Stealing

butler sells the everyman thing and the ‘90s new york setting has the right grit, but everything around him feels generic. predictable plot, one-note supporting characters, messy pacing. the ending actually lands which almost makes it more frustrating — why couldn’t the rest of the film do that. forgettable overall
