”In a mad world, only the mad are sane” An absolute masterpiece. This is the first Akira Kurosawa film ive seen and definetly won’t be the last. This movie is packed up with incredible acting. The facial expression are so extra but somehow they feel almost necessary to the plot, making the emotions portrayed feel so real. A battle of lust for power and growing hatred. Betrayal and regret that you can’t recover from. I literally could talk about the story for ages, but I dont wanna spoil!! Only after watching this did I find out that people consider this the most visually beautiful film ever, and I couldn’t agree more. The cinematography exceeds all movies ive seen, no matter how stunning. The way Kurosawa played with colors setting an unique but perfectly fitting mood for each scene is incredible. Everyone should see this film atleast once in their life. I aint even glazing, this is just that good.
