A quintessential 2000s romance at a superficial glance but so much more beyond the surface. The aesthetics and costume of the film being a top contender for my favourite part of the the film but what truly had my heart was the admiration. The absolute admiration and love shown between Ms. Watson and her students, is a true reflection of the of relationship that can form between a teacher and their students, if done right. It shines a light on the different archetypes of a student we normally see in a friendship group and completely plays into them and in the way we expect, and in entirely new ways that give a new layer to the otherwise stereotypical characters. You can't help but love even the "contrary" Betty. The fact julia roberts character came to the college to make a difference and she did, but in deeper way than she imagined. I truly think this may be one of my new favourite films and I'm now off to watch everything kirsten dunst has stared in for the 100th time.

The impact this film has should be studied.

A Masterpiece! Ben and Amy are made for each other tbh. Feel bad for the kid tho 🙁.
