Hellbender

So much more impressive knowing that this was made almost entirely by a family of four on a very limited budget, but either way a solid folk (ish) horror. Despite the creepy tone, ponderous pacing and genuinely scary scenes, there's so much fun sneaking in through the edges of this movie! The rocking soundtrack, the natural enjoyment the cast are clearly having, it all makes you realise that this was as much of a hoot to make as it is to watch. Without spoiling too much either, the final beat of the movie is designed to make you laugh in an almost jarring way that it leaves you with this smile on your face, despite how disturbing the reality of the situation is. Definitely watch this one if you like your horror low budget and your witchy folk horror, and also if you enjoy a kick ass metal soundtrack! I'm looking forward to seeing more from the Adams family.
