“we’re not bad people, we just come from a bad place.” i love how the woman on the train feels like temptation itself. she shows up at the beginning and the end, a quiet portrait of the cycles brandon keeps going through, having to make the same hard decision every time. it really shows how addiction doesn’t just go away just because you want it to. and the fact that the movie cuts right there, not showing whether he follows her like before or finally faces it, is just beautiful.
