A Monster Calls

I wasn’t ready for how much this movie would wreck me. Gorgeous visuals, a haunting story, and a little boy trying to make sense of a world that’s falling apart—it’s heartbreaking and beautiful in equal measure. Made me cry more than I expected, and also made me think about grief in a way I hadn’t before. A real emotional gut-punch.
