Whiplash
Legendary performance by Simmons.
The ending being open ended makes it especially interesting and almost scary regarding what the movie’s message is.
Does Nieman go crazy and end up “in a car accident” like the other student? Does he get opportunities because of his final performance and become one of the greats? Would that be worth going through what Fletcher puts him through?
