Better Days
you protect the world. i’ll protect you
idk what to say..
this movie was beautiful. so beautifully written and executed. it’s not your typical teenage drama movie with a message that just tells you oh, bullying is bad it ruins people’s lives and you’ll get karma bla bla. no. it instills it within you. for me, atleast. empathy was such a big word for me in this movie because even though im privileged to have never experienced the pain and trauma caused by bullying, i could still feel it. i sympathized with them, felt sorry for them. and i feel bad bc i couldn’t speak up, be kind, or show that someone cares. this movie made me realize how important it is to make victims feel seen, to let them know that someone out there truly wants to make a difference
their love was a dynamic that captured my heart. its like an exception to the scholar gf & young stunna bf trope. they were lost souls who found warmth in each other. they were both full of flaws yet they looked beautiful in each other’s eyes. both were willing to give and sacrifice parts of themselves, and i guess that’s love to me. that in midst of chaos, someone will always stay. someone who’ll ask you if it hurts, who’s willing to share the pain, and tries to make it all go away.
cinematography was a mwah! lighting? mwah! coloring? mwah! angles? mwah! atmosphere? mwah! details? mwah! 😙😙😙
