only 4 ⭐ because I'm really not a fan of Orlando Bloom and his performance, but everything else was perfect!! Baldwin IV is incredible, I'm very happy to have learnt the existence of this historical figure through that performance of Edward Norton I also really liked David Thewlis's character :)

it's dated, sure, but for a movie that came out more than 20 years ago, I think it's depiction of trans people is actually nice for a change yes, i believe it's better if trans people are played by real trans people, but lee pace's performance was absolutely phenomenal, delicate and very sweet and the original Calpurnia didn't mind it so..... at least it's not the trans woman that died at the end right? 😔

movie is as subtle as a brick in the face, the script really didn't make sense at some times, I don't really care for Glenn Powell, I didn't like the ending, but I still had fun what can I say? the movie was entertaining and I wasn't bored for a second! and also, yes I have to mention it, Lee Pace is in there and I may have enjoyed his presence onscreen a bit too much.... but what can I say, I'm a simple man
