Was 5 stars. 4.5 on rewatch. But still a major, major, major masterpiece.
Absolutely one of the best, if not the best, neo-noir thrillers of all time. Two complete opposite detectives working on crimes designed with terrifying precision by John Doe. What is the possibility of Mills not killing John Doe? 0%, for sure.
The idea of presenting the seven deadly sins through sinners of the same kind may sound banal, but the way Fincher shows this idea to the audience is perfect.
Top-notch cinema.
