Climax
I watched Climax and I absolutely loved it. The first half felt so alive—it was fun, energetic, and full of joy. The dancing was incredible and it almost made you feel like you were at the party with them. But then the title card appears, and everything changes. From that moment, the movie slowly turns into a complete nightmare.
The way Gaspar Noé shows the descent into chaos is amazing. You can literally feel the tension getting worse every minute. Everyone starts losing control in different ways, and it's disturbing to watch because it all feels so real. Lou's breakdown, Tito's mother completely losing herself, Omar getting locked in the freezing room, and everyone slowly going insane after taking LSD—it was all so intense.
The cinematography, the long takes, the lighting, and the music make you feel trapped inside the madness with the characters. It doesn't feel like you're watching a movie; it feels like you're experiencing the nightmare alongside them.
This isn't a movie for everyone, but if you enjoy psychological cinema and films that take risks, Climax is a masterpiece. Gaspar Noé proves again why he's one of the boldest filmmakers working today.
