The Help
The beginning of this movie is so hard to watch. Every word, every look, every scene where they talk about Black women like they’re nothing — it makes me furious. But that’s the point. You’re supposed to feel that anger, that injustice, that pain.
What really stays with me is how strong these women are. The way they keep their dignity, their kindness, and their courage in a world that tries to take it from them. They carry the story — they are the story.
It’s not an easy film to watch, but it’s such an important one. Their voices deserve to be heard, remembered, and respected.
