Up

I recently watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. If that movie celebrates memory and says, "hold on to these moments", Up goes further to say, "celebrate those moments, but also remember to live in the present, not in the past". Up is a film that reminds us not to forget but to keep moving with our memories of them. The moment we see Carl trying to save Kevin, and Russell trying to save the house? The abandoning of their own desires to choose to try and save what matters to the other? That was beautiful, man.
