I rotate through my four favorites based on whatever’s currently on my mind. Actual top four can be found in my pinned favorites list. Films are only August 2024 - present, I didn’t add anything I’ve seen before then. ★★★★★ - Really resonated with me, all around a flawless movie in my eyes. Definitely my style of film, and loved every bit of it. ★★★★½ - Absolutely incredible, almost perfect but something was a little off that held it back. ★★★★ - Great, I liked it a lot, but could’ve been a little better in some way. ★★★½ - Good, leaned more toward my liking but had various flaws/wasn’t quite my tone. ★★★ - It was okay/decent, had many mixed feelings. ★★½ - Not the best watch, didn’t get anything out of it. ★★ - Consistently just not good. ★½ - No redeeming qualities. ★ - Awful and probably a little laughable. ½ - Just laughably bad.

Cannot wait to see Inde holding that Oscar.

I was definitely expecting more, but I’m not necessarily disappointed. Felt like it did everything right. It’s simple yet heartfelt, and doesn’t try too hard to be anything else.

Now that’s my kind of Thanksgiving

Top 3 quotes: > *"*One morning, over at Elizabeth's beach house, she asked me if I'd rather go water skiing or lay out. And I realized that not only did I not want to answer that question, but I never wanted to answer another water sports question, or see any of these people again for the rest of my life." > *“God, this is great, sitting here in the laundry room... you working on your vocabulary, and we're sharing these tamales.” * > *“I'm also coaching a Little League soccer team called the Hurricanes. They're mostly beginners, but they've got a lot of spirit, and they don't let defeat get them down.“* I also want to highlight literally any interaction between Kumar and Dignan, absolutely hilarious in such a subtle way. Along with the fireworks montage, probably the best scene in the whole movie. By no means is this a five-star movie, at least not objectively. But it has consistent subjective qualities that hit every mark for me. I love it so much, it’s criminally underrated. Man, I miss Wes’ older style.
