Lion

This is actually the best Australian film of all time. One of my fave films of all and I quite literally wrote multiple essays throughout high school on it. The story, the discovery, the casting. It was all beautifully shot and captured throughout the film. Dev Patel deserved everything from this movie in his portrayal of Saroo Brierley. The music and visuals helped convey Davis’ overarching theme and use of discovery in self identity and the relationships that can be formed through it.
