I'm honestly....shocked? at how good I ended thinking this was? Yes they changed the story immensely but as someone who read the book prior to watching this and found it to be the most boring thing ever, I love what they changed. They made it so much more...erotic I guess and also intriguing and interesting. The way they painted Nelly in such a different light is so interesting too because you only get the stories from her perspective in the book so she could be painting them in anyway she likes as well. And the twist of making Cathy's craziness in the end septicemia?? What a great twist. This movie is for the freaks. The set design, the costumes, the sound track? So good!

Honestly.....movie kinda dropped off after Ryan's character got the proveriable axe. But in all truth, I really like how they mirrored certain things. The swell in music when Ryan is going down the road and then his son on the bike. How you could essentially see the cycle restarting with the son driving off with no helmet. Also the little bit of satisfaction you feel when you think that AJ is dead, getting Avery what he deserves for killing a father, of course he'd lose his son but turns out the world is too soft on him. Didn't quite get the just desserts in the end.
