Mid90’s is a wonderful story of skater culture. I think it truly highlights coming of age, and perfectly displays picking who you want to be, and how the people around you shape you. I think the acting falters at some points, but it is a master class In cinematography. We feel like we are both watching Stevie’s life while experiencing it. The retro camera work is definitely the highlight of the movie for me. The story building and building and building while watching the cast succumb to drug use and the dark side of trying to have fun as a teen, is a great way to move the plot forward, and ultimately building up to 4th Grade’s film was perfection.
