I can’t lie, I was lowkey gagged at the twist

Just wow. It’s so beautiful that it genuinely takes your breathe away. The landscape scenes look like paintings. In true studio ghibli style, the artistry of the movie captivates the fuck out of you. I loved the anti war commentary in this and I’ve noticed a pattern in these movies as well with that. Calcifer was such a fun character too. But you’re lying if your focus isn’t on Howl and the gorgeous man he is. I absolutely loved Sophie and Howl’s relationship building in this movie. The subtleties where you could very much see that Howl was falling in love with her and how the Sophie fell in love, the younger she looked again were so fun to fun to watch.

This movie is gay asf but also homophobic bc wtf was that ending. Was it casual when two best friends literal had sex and the “straight one” initiated it but still calls them just best friends and refuses to acknowledge it or dig a little deeper even after the confession scene. Literally wtf. However, Jonathon I love you and I’ll defend you forever
