this film is inevitably funny and definitely entertaining but i do feel like there’s not that much going on. the storyline itself is a little dry in my opinion, with the set up of the villain, but wade wilson is what turns this film from mediocre to great. i think it works well as an introductory piece and deadpool is a super engaging character. the last fighting sequence is quite creative, has a couple fun moments

i re watched this and i definitely think i enjoyed it more than the last few times i’ve seen it. definitely a level up from homecoming but still doesn’t hit the mark when talking about fantastic marvel films. however brand new day is coming out people… will this be the new marvel resurgence? please

this film is sweet and amateur just the way peter parker is. but it clear that there wasn’t as much thought put into it compared to most of the other marvel solo projects at the time. still an enjoyable watch

i just want to preface this by saying i have not watched peaky blinders the show, so i am reviewing this as a standalone piece. i understand that means i have less of an emotional connection to it than others may have. there was a relatively large cast yet somehow no performance was particularly good. barry keogan is especially uninspiring, and his character felt drab and lifeless. this felt like an amateur piece written by someone who has never made a film before. we seem to have this massive buildup to what ends up being the shortest and most uninteresting climax. the whole film felt predictable and none of the characters felt likeable in the slightest, with the exception of tommy shelby who i feel was reduced to a shell of his previous character (from what i have heard) the constant music during every scene seemed to overcompensate for the lack of originality or interest in the storyline. it’s not like i minded the time innacurate soundtrack, but the consistent music behind every piece of dialogue seemed to serve as no purpose other than to mask the pretty bleak scriptwriting. do not recommend
