"all in the valley of Death / rode the six hundred." a heartwrenching story that displays a couple with a rose-tinted view of WW2, naivety and a patriotic hope in their country during a nuclear apocalypse. there is a stark contrast from before the bomb vs after. the silence becomes heavy, and the soft pastels of the countryside and cosy colors in their house get completely drained. despite this, their attitude remains the same. you get INCREDIBLY attatched to this couple, who honestly seem quite sweet. so seeing them do practically EVERYTHING you SHOULD NOT do in a nuclear apocalypse makes you want to scream at them. i think When the Wind Blows honestly is a really engaging story, envoking quite a bit of thought and emotion.

i can say confidently that i love this movie more than the first (sorry). these movies never fail and are perfectly comedic. it's disappointing to see that the series is quite underrated to most (even if art is subjective). maybe i'm biased because i loved it when i was younger? still, it's fantastic.

this is 100% a classic when it comes to British comedy movies. a satirical James Bond, where the plot isnt actually boring and the jokes hit well and aren't typical. the Frenchman being the villain is the cherry on top. it will always have a special place in my heart.

just a classic action movie. maybe even.. normal? sorry. anyway, it was definitely fun. plenty of humorous and unique death scenes (in my opinion) during the fighting choreographs. generally doesn't stand out against other action movies, but is definitely quite easy and enjoyable to watch.
