John Wick: Chapter 4
“I want you to find your peace. But a good death only comes after a good life.”
This is beyond words. As I mentioned in the past days, John Wick movies have a tendency to be better with each movie but this… this is something more. This has the best action sequences in the entire franchise, this has the best storyline in the entire franchise and this easily has the best antagonist in john wick and one of the best antagonists in a action movie ever. The Marquis was a highlight of this movie. This film solves the number one problem with the John Wick series, emotional depth. This movie explores Wick’s character better than any of the previous movies and the final sequence… my god. It’s gonna be talked for months. I can’t believe I actually teared up in a John Wick movie. This is an incredible action movie, yes but most importantly, this is an incredible film. An incredible film that compliments the entire genre. My words will not be enough for this movie but all i can say is that this is a true American classic and it will be talked for years. I rarely give perfect scores to movies but this film just felt like it was made for me. It had everything I wanted in an action movie. Flawless action, flawless (arthouse level) cinematography and a flawless storyline. Some scenes aren’t that realistic but realism isn’t the reason we watch these films. Incredible picture in every sense.
PS: Rest In Peace Lance Reddick, you were really the heart of these movies and one of the most talented character actors ever. Hope you’re in somewhere good… You’ll be missed, you beautiful man.
