Marvin was a first time offender and deserved a little leeway.

"You drank Ian" is an incredible line.

I'm not concerned nor do i wish to comment about how this legacy sequel does or doesn't pay homage to the first. I just want to say that the writers had a great opportunity to have Andy and Emily retain whatever semblance of friendship they found at the end of the first film and give us a really interesting buddy dynamic, instead they gave us a "twist" that ultimately puts one of them in the "villain" role for a meager 15 mins before the film ends. Putting my commentary on fictitious relationships aside. I just think this movie was a bit all over the place, didn't really look good, and gave us some pretty weak characters that already had a whole ass movie and 20 years to develop but instead they are just pretty much the same? Last but not least, who on this movie was afraid of old people kissing? Kenneth Branagh and Meryl Streep constantly hugging reminded me of my freshman year of high school. Miranda Priestly nearly dying trying to hang her coat was hilarious though.
