Heretic

Easily makes it to my top 100 list! 🔥 Brilliantly questions the intent, truth and iteration of the religions throughout the world, however it did conclude that control is the one true religion, or rather made us conclude that. What truths remain hidden within faith, shaped and altered by human hands? What lies at the core of every prohibition, and what motives drive them? Heretic is a film designed to confront and question these deeply ingrained taboos.  Hugh Grant (Mr. Reed) was like top top notch - an intellectual research oriented psychopath, the drama was intense and gripping, correlated the advertisements/marketing campaigns by the religious groups and their popularity and the stark difference between having faith and being religious. Ps - Please watch it in theatres if it’s available near you for the immersive and gritty theatrical experience, it’s worth it.
