i love this format of incomplete and forgotten ideas just abandoned and i came into this film without ever thinking to watch it as a film. its a collage of memories for me. i can pick out my favourite scenes and shots and the ones that really touch me in a different way, use them as inspiration or let my mind wonder off to different scenarios. the idea of taking archives is something that i want to experiment with in the future, i just feel like if storytelling was an ultimate goal for this director then he has a long way to go, and the project has potential and a lot of ambitions, but i honestly dont think that a linear and formal narrative was ever something they considered.

nice lighthearted film about tenderness and love, made me smile

we love white people saving jazz sorry a bit snobby. the music’s not that good except another day of sun, i dont like the cast i dont like the plot i dont like the acting the choreo nothing. guys watch jacques demy i think its worthy of a watch than la la land tho i do get that its different eras i just feel like its not worth the hypeeee D:

i was on edge and hypnotized for the whole movie, and then i cried of tension and then i cried of relief and then i cried of sadness
