The Lighthouse

Wow…. This was fucking fascinating. There’s so much to chew on in this film I don’t even know where to start. Actually let’s get the obvious out the way.. the styling, sound, and overall atmosphere…perfection! The dialogue is literally poetic.. the way it rolls off their tongue I’m literally obssessed. Both performances completely captivated me. The way the story uses the lighthouse metaphorically, having the lantern represent the truth/acceptance. How the theme of guilt completely drives the overall narrative of the film in a way that bends and screws with your head. There’s also many sequences that are truly eerie.. like this is truly cinema.  Excuse my rambling I watched this in the middle of the night and im currently vomitting all my thoughts before I knockout..
