Grandad of sci-fi! It was so beautifully weird and I could never fully appreciate how much influence this movie has on just about everything that came after it.
Amazing how there was a cut of this movie that just takes out every scene that gives Joh Frederson humanity. He's the most complex character of the whole movie?! I'm just never gonna see that scene where he knocks out the mad scientist to free Maria and I just gotta live with that.
