Spider-Man
Iconic. A solid plot and script while still being just the right amount of goofy and campy, perfectly serious and unserious exemplified by things like the green goblins costume, JK Simmons’ over the top performance, the explosion while Aunt May is praying—it’s like a work of art. It feels like a time capsule, so 2000s in all the right ways with its mid rise jeans, a Macy Gray cameo, an upside down kiss that is still referenced today and “hero” in the end credits. Kirsten Dunst is so charming, James Franco is unreasonably beautiful—it’s kind of a perfect comic book adaptation
