Heavy on the gothic. Romance? I didn't feel it quite as much. Absolutely gorgeous to look at and a fun use of ghosts both effectswise and within the ideas and themes of the story. Second act, I dunno something was off but I don't think I can articulate it. A very pretty movie, good for the macabre but script probably could have had a go around.

Watched on the floor of a friends apartment, most of the way through a hedonistic binge week ourselves on our one day with no parties to attend. Surreal, funny as fuck, hard to tear your eyes away from. Found myself leaning into the TV as I watched. Both leads are absolute freaks in such an entertaining way. Gonna read the book asap

Brilliant and psychedelic. I've heard so many of these exact conversations and it approaches the whole scene and everything in a fun way, just a great time of a film. Watching this stone cold sober felt so wrong though.
