such a unique, amazing movie for the ageees! harry nilsson fits splendidly, both performances were incredible, and the story and its characters will live in my memory forever. the queer subtext was wayy ahead of its time, and it makes a lot more sense when you do a bit of reading on the director. of course the ending is not at all a plot twist, nor is it unexpected, but it left me stiff for a few minutes just because of how raw it is. imagine how many stories like these you can find on the streets of any big city? what a knockouttt!

i read the play back in high school, and it never left me. today, i finally mustered up the courage to watch the movie. masterful. wajdi mouawad, how could you have the brain to think of such a story?

might start getting into f1 idk. it was sooo hollywood but imagine WINNING and being the best EVER?!  (had rated it 4 stars initially but i just watched incendies and gave it 5 stars, so i just felt like 4 stars was too close to perfection. still a very enjoyable blockbuster, though!)
