Ad Astra

This is magnificent. This film is a portrayal and a deep exploration of man, emotion, regret, loss and trauma, all filmed on a grand scale and it's exceptional. An isolating and epic experience following Brad Pitts character and his mission guided through his somber narration you can feel the real sense of isolation and loneliness making this one of the most emotionally impacting movies I've seen. Most definitely one of the best science fiction movies I have ever seen clearing those such as Interstellar and the Martian on the emotional beats this one hit me harder than any of those. I will not lie I felt like this movie was always going to be a 5 star for me going into this but I think the sheer magnitude of this is undeniably fantastic with fantastic visuals and top notch cinematography while also being backed up by this atmospheric score that adds to the surreal feeling of this film. This film is incredible and one I will be rewatching multiple times in the future. With Brad Pitt carrying out a career best in this aswell.
