this made my cold dead heart feel something for the first in a while, the characters were so lovable and relatable, and the casting... THE CASTING!!!! chunhwa, jangmi, and jinhee's were so on point!! i fell in love with chunhwa the most!! that one scene where touch by touch plays as the girls get caught up with the brawl between protesters and military had me rolling. this film definitely fueled my apprehensions toward growing up, i wanna stay a carefree little girl for life goofing around with her little friends.
i hope my high school best friends and i are able to preserve this kind of bond until we're all middle-aged ladies ranting to each other about our husbands' affairs (knock on wood i hope this never happens otherwise our future husbands should start sleeping with one eye open), how troublesome our kids are, and how dull our jobs are. i am definitely giving those bitches a big hug when this pandemic settles down and we meet up for k-bbq.
