Finally with IWGP I completed the "Tomoyo Nagase being the sexiest man on earth" television trilogy ( the other 2 would be - 'Tiger and Dragon' and 'My Boss, My Hero'). This might be one of the greatest fiction I have ever experienced. A more darker version of Kisarazu Cat's Eye, it perfectly captures the chaotic energy of turn-of-the-century Tokyo. It balances a gripping murder mystery with profound social commentary on youth culture, gang warfare, and societal outcasts. Backed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi’s hyper-stylized, kinetic directing, the series feels like a lightning bolt of pure adrenaline. It is raw, hilarious, tragic, and utterly unforgettable.
