i read the book a few weeks ago and it wasn’t the great american novel or anything but the story was good and it kept me on my toes! the movie stays pretty true to the book but the thing about sydney sweeney is that she is constantly so preoccupied with appearing sexy that she forgets that she has to actually act. why was her character wearing a push up bra under her pajamas? idk how she keeps getting acting jobs. also i had a hard time believing her as a femme fatale. amanda seyfried was a genius as usual and the 20 minutes where her character was the protagonist were the best 20 minutes of the movie. the needle drops were kind of cringe and on the nose.
