Hamnet
"To be or to not be: that is the question"
Has been a very important quote to me for a long time. It's simple, direct and strangely human. It's beautiful.
This film is honestly is a gorgeous emotional moment, it's not "just a love story", it's about women, nature, motherhood, grief, depression and so on. I think it has been interpreted perfectly.
I wanted to watch this movie after seeing that Jessie Buckley got the Best Actress Oscar for her role in this. Inevitably, her acting did not disappoint. That woman truly has something incredible. Other than her, Paul Mescal also did an amazing job, and the children too! That scene with Hamnet and Judith where he tells her that he'll take her place.. "I'll be brave, I'll be brave, I'll be brave" absolutely gutted me. Amazing job to everyone who worked on that movie. Chloé Zhao for giving this story justice, Maggie O'Farrell for writing it, etc. Everything was just purely well done and eternal.
