Mateo

Solid movie with amazing music. I should’ve watched this long ago because I’ve always been intrigued by Atlanta culture. With this and Ant-man, TI isn’t that bad of an actor.

This was my first Takeshi Kitano movie and it did not disappoint. In the same vein as the American mobster films so I just knew I’d love it. The whole cast was great, and I really loved the action scenes because I love that stuff so much. Very excited to see more of Kitanos movies.

Loved it on my first watch and love it even more this rematch. To me, this movie has everything I love about blockbuster movies. Takashi Yamazaki cooked up a proper movie. The emotional bits hit the right spot, the terror of Godzilla is done very well because it gets to me the action is also superb. Even at its slow bits I’m extremely invested in the movie which I think other Godzilla movies fail to do for me, at least. Incredibly excited about the next movie, I just know Yamazaki will outdo himself. Godzilla Minus One is a Mateo all timer.
