Not quite as slick as the first, but still a fun ride. The plot gets pretty ridiculous at times, though that’s kind of part of the charm with these films. The magic tricks are still entertaining, and it moves fast enough that you don’t really question what’s going on too much. Just a solid, easy watch.

Stressful in the best possible way. Watching this felt like being yelled at for two hours straight and somehow enjoying it. J.K. Simmons is terrifying, and the tension just keeps building the whole time. By the final scene my heart was basically racing. Absolutely intense. Being a huge jazz fan, thoroughly enjoyed this what some may call a masterpiece of musical film. Quite my tempo.

Not quite as strong as the first for me, but still a really solid film. The story being split up slows things down a bit at times, though it’s still interesting to see where everyone ends up. Helm’s Deep is obviously incredible and easily the highlight. Maybe not my favourite of the trilogy so far, but still a great watch. Yet to watch the Return of the King

An incredible start to a trilogy that somehow only gets better from here. The world-building is insane - it really feels like you’ve stepped into a completely different world. It takes its time setting everything up, but it never feels boring. By the time the fellowship forms, you’re already fully invested. Just pure fantasy done right
