Holy shit. Writing this a day after and I’m still speechless wtf.

This has some really cool ideas and visually it’s interesting too but the humour especially in the first half was painful at times. Some of the pacing felt a bit too fast aswell so some moments didn’t feel earned, for example any discovery he made never felt that big of a deal. Overall though still decent. Also, Rocky was cheeky.

This was such a good surprise and I'm happy I didn't know much going in. First off the tone and atmosphere is amazing, the opening in particular is great as it's minimal dialogue and focus on the techno music lets you sink into the film's world easily. Then the second half is even better and has such a unique vibe. It's weirdly hilarious but still tense which makes for such a bizarre but interesting finish. One moment at the end which makes the surreal vibe stand out is this minefield scene where these two characters have to cross it but the music is basically teasing their deaths the way it keeps coming in and fading back out. So it creates this unsettling yet funny mood. Also after sleeping on it, this could be a hard reach, but I got this refugee allegory feeling. The war in the background mixed with the fact they travel through different obstructions while losing people hints to this. The ending with the train and this varied collection of people all on the one journey, again just makes me think this however I've not seen anyone else say this so it's probably a longshot.

One of my favourite films about trauma and memory. I love the way it connects personal memories with historical events and the way it shows this is beautiful especially the middle section in the tea room. My only real complaint was the 20 minutes before the ending where it just stagnates and its clearly the point so I'm hoping I like it more on rewatch but for now I didn't love it.
