Batman

This could have been titled Joker Origin rather than Batman, for how much Jack Nicholson is on screen. The beginning really got me, it was a smart way to introduce Batman. Really enjoy the use of gadgets and how important they are to this Batman. Gotham looks good, dark and spooky at night, but a lively big city during the day. Michael Keaton plays Bruce Wayne very well, very stoic. Maybe even the best, with competition from Christian Bale. He doesn't have much to do as Batman since he is mostly just fighting. Not as much aura farming as the other Batmen, just quiet thinking. The most comic-feeling Batman movie I have seen, the others go for a more "realistic" depiction of Batman and Gotham. That comes from the gadgets that both Batman and the Joker use, but also in the costumes. Coolest Batwing and Batmobile. 1989 || Original Batman
