My favorite movies have a heavy focus on dialogue. Since there aren't many things actually going on, the dialogue really carries the movie in a good way. I don't usually like a narrating voice, but I think it is done well in this. The three main characters are all well-written. The best part is that it shows three different types of gangsters. But they all did a lot of whacking. The first jail scenes are great and so fun. I wish there was more of it. The first half of the movie is so good, the last third wasn't the strongest. Too many good quotes to pick just one. 1990 || Martin Scorsese
