> ***“Who are the people from the sea?”*** **THE MARLEYANS! WE NEED TO MAKE ELVIA GREAT AGAIN!** Jokes aside, The Odyssey (2026) is yet another reminder that Christopher Nolan remains one of the most ambitious filmmakers working today. That said, I had a few reservations about the beginning of the film. Besides some dialogue that I didn’t find particularly strong, the pacing in the first act also doesn’t work as well as it should. It feels like there’s too much information and too many events being thrown at the audience without giving you enough time to process everything. The film tries to establish a massive world very quickly, and at times, it ends up feeling rushed. Thankfully, once it gets past that stage, the film completely takes off. The action sequences are phenomenal, filled with scale, tension, and creativity, and they showcase Nolan at his absolute best. The direction is outstanding, the cinematography is gorgeous, and the score makes every moment even more impactful. Odysseus’ journey becomes increasingly emotional, and from that point on, the film never loses its momentum. This is Christopher Nolan’s best film. And probably the best film of the decade. The cast is excellent, the practical effects give the biggest set pieces an **INCREDIBLE** sense of weight, and the third act is absolutely unforgettable. Even though I think the opening suffers from weaker dialogue and pacing that’s a little too fast, everything that comes afterwards more than makes up for it. Rating: 9.2/10. An uneven opening keeps The Odyssey from being perfect, but the rest of the experience is so powerful that it ends up being one of the most epic and impressive films of Christopher Nolan’s career. The Cyclops’ scream is the **loudest** sound I’ve ever heard in my life. **Odysseus is tuff.** 😾

> ***"He's not alone."*** O filme é MUITO BOM e realmente interessante, o que senti que não estava bom era a atuação (que às vezes era mesmo horrível), alguns efeitos visuais, diálogos ou até partes específicas da história. De resto o filme é enjoyable e muito fixe. The film is REALLY GOOD and genuinely interesting. The only thing that didn’t work for me was the acting, which was downright awful at times. Other than that, it’s a really enjoyable and fun film. ANDREW GARFIELD IS THE FUNNIEST SPIDER-MAN!
