This movie was extremely well acted, beautifully shot, yet failed to emotionally connect to me in any way, shape, or form. I was too bored to care. I didn’t care about the characters, their feelings, or their relationships for the first hour and forty minutes of the film. Then in the final 20 minutes (once the play began) I got more engrossed because something was actually happening. Some of the stuff from earlier makes sense once the wife figured out the point of his play. I guess that it makes sense but only because of the themes of loss and grief. Emphasis on “I guess.”
