Perfect Blue
Virtual mima is such a freaky song omg like everytime that "mmm MMmmMMmm MMMmmMMMmm" played I got chills. I'm still amazed by how well her psychosis is interwoven into the basic form of the movie. I'm impressed with the grasp of the medium required to make confusion feel this delicate and intentional. And yet, through all this confusion, it somehow maintains a level of clarity in messaging, and care for the main character, that honestly isn't even achieved by the most straightforward of films.
